**Top 5**

(I am so stealing this cute idea from my friend, Carrie. She does a top 5 list often and I like it, so I am a copycat!)

**Top 5 funny things Sasha prays for**

  1. "That Christmas will come soon." Geez she has already written her list to Santa.
  2. "That Addie will sit down and be quiet during the prayer. Oh, and that Addie will close her eyes." How did she know Addie's eyes were open, anyhow? Hmmmmm.
  3. "The we will have a good day today." She usually says this part about 3 times during our night-time family prayer.
  4. "That my birthday will come soon." This one starts the day after her birthday!
  5. Oh, and my personal favorite: "That mommy will have twins!" I would be thrilled with just one more precious one and totally overjoyed with twins!

"Oh hi, Mom. I'm just helping myself to the powdered sugar. It sure is yummy!"

"Why did you take it away from me?"

***sob***sob***sob! "Mind your own business, Mom! I had a good thing goin' there!"

Dirty Blond

So, I volunteer in Sasha's 2nd grade class on every Tuesday I possibly can. Today I went and read with the kids in small groups about poetry. I was asking them what the word "describe" means and to help them out, I told them to tell me about my hair, to "describe" it. Well, one very cute little boys looks right at me and says "it's dirty blond". Yes, a boy told me that. How does he even know that color, let alone pick it out. Even funnier was the looks on the other kids' faces. They all looked at my "dirty" hair with a bit of discust. I said, "Hey it's a color, my hair is not really dirty." But I don't think they believed me. **sigh** Maybe I should go get my hair highlighted or something. Nah, I better not. I gotta save my money for my crown, so I can be a real princess. (See my post: "The best day ever" for clarification.)

Have you ever....

Gotten to church and realized your 3 year old doesn't have any panties on. (Yes, Addie came to church without any on today. Will had to run home, literally since we walked today, and get some. Good thing I am the one that noticed and not someone at church. How embarressing!)

Moments like these make me laugh as a parent and I sure do love to laugh.

"Let's Go STORM!!"

Sasha did a 6 week cheerleading camp with Syracuse City and today was her darling little performance. The did the half-time show at a game today and also came out there and cheered a little too. It was the best thing ever. She looks so stinkin' cute, if I do say so myself.

They taught the girls how to do toe-touches, handstands and cartwheels and they did a cute little dance number to some funky-cool music. You know I was lovin' it. They cheered for the Syracuse Storm football players. I think it was the 10-12 year-old team. It was a fun Saturday! :)

The BEST DAY EVER!!!!!

Did I get your attention with that title? Did you ever see the episode of "Sponge Bob" where he is singing that over and over? "The best day eeeevvvver!!!" It sure was funny. Yes, I do like to watch it with my kids. I had such a special day today, and I just wanted to make sure it got documented. I had a filling replaced today AND my very first root canal! I know, amazing. I know you are all jealous. I had the filling replaced this morning, because it was REALLY hurting and the dentist told me if replacing the filling didn't help, I may need a root canal. So, I went home and as soon as my mouth quit being numb, I was in some serious pain. Worse than when I went in this morning. So, I went to an endodontist and he found out my tooth is totally dead. It was full of yucky bacteria and was really gross. I get to go back in a week so he can finish up and then I get to get a CROWN. $$$$$$$$ We don't have dental coverage. I feel so bad about it because: 1: Between all my medical bills from us trying to have more kids, and this, I am really racking up the bills. 2: I feel soooooo old and am embarressed that my mouth is falling apart. **sigh** Will, thank you for taking the day off to "get some things done", and all you got done was watch the kids so I could have some fun in the dental chair. xxooxxo to you, Babes.

Big bums.....

Oh my goodness, Adelynn. Today while walking out of Walmart, Addie says "They have big bums, huh Mom." I stopped dead in my tracks and had her repeat herself so I could see if I had heard her correctly. Yep, I heard her correctly. She said it clear as a bell, too. More often than not, we can't understand what she is saying, it seems, but now and then she says something that we completely can understand! And there were two people in front of us that really did have big bottoms, so she was just stating the facts as she saw them. It was really hilarious, although not a nice thing to say about anyone! (They were too far ahead of us to hear what she said.......in case you are wondering about that!) I love moments like this that make me laugh out loud. Kids are hilarious, I tell ya! I am sure next on the agenda for her is telling ME that I have a big bottom. That won't be quite as funny, but I am sure I will still laugh........a little bit......!!

Things that bum me out...

I don't know why I am typing this but hey, it feel like it, I guess. Here are ten things that bum me out:

1. Sinus Headaches. I have one now and I am grouchy about it. I don't know how to make them STOP. I have gotten them since I was prego with Addie. Big bummer for me.

2. When I try a new recipe and I think it is going to be sooo good, and it is sooooo gross. Sorry, family of mine. I will redeem myself with an old stand-by and quit trying to be Rachel Ray.

3. When the end of the day comes and I have had way too many cans of Diet Pepsi. **sigh**

4. When I am totally unmotivated to clean up the kitchen after dinner and I have to wake up to a sink full of dirty, stinky dishes. Big, stinky bummer. Maybe I should hire a dish-doer.

5. When I throw something in the dryer in my haste, that needs to by line-dried. I talk to the clothes at that point and tell them to please still fit me, anyway.

6. When I lean on the door of our entertainment center that is built into the wall of our new home and it breaks. Why, oh why did I do that! I was reaching down to pick up the TV blankets AGAIN, and put them in the cupboard and leaned on the door. Not my greatest moment. Will was sure nice about it.........sorry, Babe.

7. When the person who delivers my papers drops off 4 extra EVERY SINGLE MORNING! I get 5 Sunday papers for the coupons! I don't want extras if there is NO COUPONS. People always think we are out of town because we have a pile of papers each morning.

8. When I get crafty stuff for cheap and then don't know what to do with them, or don't have the time to do something with them.

9. When I fill up the gas tank and it is way more than it used to be. Stinky bummer.

10. When I go a week without going to Walmart and then all of a sudden, I go there 2 days in a row!!! Yes, I have been there twice this week and it is only Tuesday.

We planted some fruit trees!

We planted some fruit trees on Saturday and finished it up for FHE last night.
We planted a peach, apple, and apricot tree. I really am super excited for when they are full of fruit!
It really was fun to work together as a family and get the holes dug and the trees planted! The kids had fun and we were glad we had enough shovels, hoes and such to go around!
Grow little buddies, grow!

Seth's 1st day of preschool!

Seth, our handsome boy started preschool today. I told him all week that today was the big day, and this morning he was not wanting to go. Big shocker, I know. But, I just kept telling him how fun it was going to be and all that. He picked which of his 2 Spiderman backpacks (yes, he has 2!!???) to bring and off we went. Poor Addie wanted to bring her backpack, too. He walked right in, and didn't even look back. No crying, no nothin'. I got choked up on the ride back home especially since I had to pick Addie up, kicking and crying, saying "I want to stay with Seth! He's my best friend!!". I felt so sad that she could not stay with him. She really does love being with him. I cannot believe Seth is in preschool, and that Sasha is in the 2nd grade! Just yesterday, they were all home with me and we had no agenda or schedule whatsoever. I don't want this time to ever end, and yet I know it will someday soon. I am so thankful that I have them and know they are all little miracles!

Iowa Day!

Sasha has been learning about the different states in the USA, and Monday was IOWA day! She was so excited to bring herself since she is from Iowa! She also brought her Iowa bear, an Iowa outfit from when she was a baby, and a cute thimble that says "Iowa" and little pigs on it! Fun day for our girl!

A new family tradition has begun!

Will and I have talked a lot about having fun family traditions and we got one started today! We think it is important to have special-time with our kids, so are going to do just that the first Saturday of each month. Today, the girls went to lunch at "Dragon Hill" and had orange chicken. It was soooo yummy! They both love Chinese food, so of course we were eating there today!! Then we went to Walmart and got the stuff to make Sasha's Halloween costume. We also got some candy, of course. We drove Daddy's car, so that was fun!

The boys ate at Chic-fil-a, of course, and went to Ogden Lawn and Garden and then to Home Depot; you know, guy places! They got a treat on the way home and were gone longer than the girls were! How is that possible? Guess us girls need to do better at shopping 'til we drop, huh! (Seth looks completely bummed in this picture. He really had a good time, he just hates getting his picture taken. Oh, and he hates getting his shoes on which is what he was supposed to be doing right before I said "Say cheese".)

(Will, you are such a handsome guy. I love you.)

Halloween is comin'!!

Sasha wants to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, so I got the pattern today......

Here are her ruby red slippers. Well, they aren't glittery yet, but we will fix that in a jiffy. I think I will try to adhere some red glitter somehow..........this is going to get messy, isn't it?!

I haven't sewn from a pattern for awhile, so I am due. I reeeally hope this turns out cute. Sasha, you better get the pillow ready so I can come and scream in it when I get frustrated! LOL. I am being serious, here!

Addie's Antics

Um, Addie hurt her foot apparently and used a whole box of band-aids. What was I doing while she did this? Going potty? Geez. I am slacking off big time.

That is a whole pack, (ok maybe not the whole pack, but darn close) of Hubba Bubba gum and yes, Addie had that all in her mouth at once. She seriously nearly choked. Nice.

Coupon freak scored again!

Ah, I love getting something for next to nuthin'! Here is my latest trip to Albie's this week.

6 boxes of taco shells .50 each after coupon

4 cans of green chili sauce (golly I hope it is not too hot for my dear William) .50 after coupon.

8 packs of gummy savers .33 each after buy 1 get 1 free coupon.

I used my $7.00 catalina from last week's shopping trip, so my grand total was .64 for all that. Rock and Roll, baby.

I got a new calling......

I just got called to be the secretary in the Young Women's and got set apart Sunday. I am excited, nervous, overwhelmed, all at the same time. I don't know very many people in the ward, especially the youth. I attended Sunday and they had a combined YM\YW lesson since it was the 5th Sunday and basically the bishop had the old presidency and advisors share their testimonies and then he had the new presidency share theirs. But, time ran out, so I did not share mine. I do know the new president a little since our paths crossed right after Will and I got married. We attended a married student ward at Weber State and she and her husband were attending there too. So, that is one, sorta familiar face! I felt like I just got transfered to a new area on my mission: the members were sad to see the old missionaries go and you felt very out of place!! The young women were crying as their old leaders were saying goodbye and I just hope I can get to know them quickly and that they know how happy I am to be serving them right now. I got a very special priesthood blessing by the bishop who set me apart for the calling. I am ready to serve!
