Dance Class.....???

My friend Lynette is concidering a homeschooling choir and just posted about whether or not she should do it...........I think she should!!!  It got me thinking......(thanks, Lynette!!)
Way back when we lived in North Ogden I decided to live a dream I had: Teach DANCE!   I got enough interest from the neighborhood girls to have two classes.  I held class all summer in my basement and at the end of the summer we had a little "recital" in my backyard so they could show their parents what they learned.  It was as wonderful as I hoped it would be.  Doing something you have dreamed about since you were little is always a good thing.
So, here I am, two kids, and about 6 years later and I am wondering if I should do it again, but this time have it be for homeschoolers.  I could have it in my much-bigger basement.....I just need some mirrors.  You gotta have mirrors as a dancer.  And loud music.
Am I pro?  Nope.  Can I do the splits?  Nope.  Should you send your kids to me if you want them to be professional dancers. Most certainly NOT!  But, I love to dance.  I love to teach kids things that I love.  I have danced all my life, although recently it has been just in my livingroom.

So, I will have to ponder this. Decisions like this are not ones to make quickly.  Any thoughts out there you'd like to share on the matter???.......

In the meantime, I think I might just start looking at songs to choreograph dances to....

Audrey-isms...

Yep, she is a wild one.  I tell her to get off the counter at least a million times a day.  She still gets on there whenever she can..........ugh!! :) Here are some more things she says and does that make us smile......
  • Sasha told her\us "It didn't matter" that Audrey spilled something of hers recently, so now Audrey says "It don' madda" whenever she spills something or if she sees us spill, or drop something. She is right, it really doesn't matter that much, does it?
  • She wants to eat "A popsica" allll the livelong day.  She asks for one, cocks her head to the side and I obediently go get her one....usually.
  • She loves "lemaleem" or lemonade.  She calls anything that isn't milk "lemaleem".
  • She dotes on Noah so much it melts our hearts.  She loves to feed him whatever she is eating, which can be scary if she is eating something he isn't ready for.  Like chips!  YIKES!  She still calls him "Nanny" and so we do, too.
  • She loves to feed Casey his doggie treats and eats one right along with him.  Eeewwww! Those Beggin' Strips look and smell like bacon......
  • She loves shoes and wears someone else's shoes all the time!  She even wears the neighbor kids' shoes when they come over.  If you can't find your shoes, just ask Audrey.
  • She loves her "Seffy" and I get after her for something, she runs right to Seth for comfort.  It is just cute!
  • She likes "Dora" and "Curious George" although she has yet to make it through an entire episode.  She will watch for a few minutes and go on her merry way.
  • She tells us "Canck you" all the time.
  • She loves showing the rest of the family her "fancy" hairdo each day.
  • She still oves "Just Dance" on the Wii but calls it "Dean Dance".  She just likes to watch the dancers on the screen.
  • She loves the "Potty Book" by Leslie P. and there is a part in it that says, "Tinkle toot!" so that is what she calls the book!  She even has gone tinkle toot in the potty, but only when she feels like it and I am not pushing it whatsoever!
She is a joy and keeps us on our toes.  She is sugar and spice, for sure! She fills our day with laughter and a mess or two, or three, or four.......but we love our little Audrey Anne and feel so grateful she came to us.  We waited 5 long years for her!  oxoxoxox!

Won't you just SMILE for me...??

I had to get a new camera this week since our old one got stepped on by someone small and someone who has a knack for this sort of thing....guess who!! Anyway, I wanted to try it out and tried to find someone to smile for me. Addie always delivers, so I should have started with her, but I didn't!

Grandpa put Noah in the laundry basket and it made us all laugh. He put him in there and didn't say anything and we all did a double take, not noticing right away what he was sitting in. Saturday Night Entertainment at it's finest!

Audrey LOVES "Froggy" who is an extremely faded yard decoration I have had for many years. His eye is missing and he is no longer green but she loves him and carries him around the house daily. It is kinda heavy but she doesn't seem to mind. She wouldn't give me a smile...........even with "Froggy" on her lap.

I tried to get her to smile at me but she was too interested in whatever was on the TV. Dora? Curious George? Just Dance on the Wii? Not sure, but she would NOT look at me. (Don't you just LOVE her swimming suit??? I know, I know! Too cute! Yay, Target!!)

So, I tried Noah who was in his jammies and VERY ready for bed. He was not amused at my determination to get someone to smile at me. He went to bed about 10 seconds after I took this picture.

It was a good week. Extremely busy, but good. We had something going every single night this week. That rarely happens to us. Softball\baseball is coming soon. Will is coaching the kids' teams. I am the assistant coach. Unofficially. Summer is coming. Ohhhhhh, yaaaaaaa!

"Get BUZZY...."

My calling right now is Enrichment Leader and I am loving it! We are having a Prepardness Night this month and the theme is "Get BUZZY and BEE prepared". We are having mini-classes taught by some sisters in the ward, so I thought it would be cute to have them all dress in either black or yellow, to go with our "bee" theme and I wanted to make them a pin to wear that night. They get to keep the pin as a thank-you for helping me out. My friend Destree came and helped me make them and I LOVE them! I hope they do too!

Here is mine! I am teaching the class on Food Storage and how to cook from it daily. All our ups and downs the past few years has taught me to use my food storage! I am crossing my fingers the night is a success.........

What DID we do before we had kids???

Do you ever ask that question? We do. With smiles on our faces, we look around at the chaos\mess\noise\mayhem, aka: our home and we realize how boring our lives were back then. What did we do with our spare time? I know we didn't.....

Get to see such awesome face painting going on right before our eyes. A watermelon! Wowee!

We didn't get to enjoy dinner with a cute little bunny rabbit with a blue\green nose. (Face painting went on and on and on.....)

We didn't get to stare into such dreamy eyes and kiss such chubby delicious cheeks.

This is as good as it gets and we love it. Although I do kinda want a maid to help me.....and a cook......and a personal shopper......!!

Finally....A PICTURE!!

Is that not the CUTEST messy face you have ever seen???!!! He was eating a cookie! He enjoyed it, didn't he??!! He is seriously the sweetest baby ever and has brought us so much joy.

I finally went online and ordered a cord so I can now upload from my camera. It cost a whole $7. Why did I not do this a long time ago?? I dunno. Probably cause I can't seem to get everything done I need to. Maybe I should make lists for myself....I think I will, actually! Good grief!

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from Will's oldest brother from his biological family, his wife, and cute daughter. It was such a nice time full of good grillin', late nights, monopoly, sight-seeing, and just hanging around. I hope our crazy house of noise and kids didn't scare them.....I hope they come back next year!! We loved having them! A lot of things around the house got fixed since Will's brother is quite handy with stuff like that! Sweeeeet!

Spring Break is over.....back to school tomorrow! We'll probably go until the end of May, take a break, and commence our year-round schedule.....I hope it works. I still feel like it is going to be a good thing for us!
