Cooking up a storm....

Anyone ever done the whole "cook for a day, eat for a month" thingy? I was at a homeschoolers play group this week and some gals there do this and I so wanna try it. I am feeling like I need to simplify my day since #1 I am adding a new student this year (Addie, the kindergartener) and #2 Our class mascot (Audrey Anne, the pink bundle) might make school time a little more challenging than last year or the year before. Soooooo, I am thinking about doing this. I ordered the book Frozen Assets and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival! It was recommended by a friend who tried it and is a "frozen-meal believer". Ah, another adventure for me to try......wanna come make dinners with me?

Oh Boy!! Sounds heavenly to have dinner ready each day.....but question number one.....Where are you going to store it all? I don't have the freezer space. Also, what do you use, disposable dishes so you don't have all of your dishes being used? You amaze me! You're always trying something new! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

I tried some of the recipes from Frozen Assets years ago. I did not like them. Course I'm not a fan of using all those highly processed food items which were used big time in that book. I've yet to find a book with frozen dinners that aren't chocked full of processed foods we don't eat. I love the concept though. I've been trying to figure out how to make some without needing those types of food.

I didn't love this cookbook either. I actually met the author and attended her workshop - but I agree with Norah. That said - I love the idea of freezer meals and it gave me great ideas of how to do healthier options. Have fun with. It is great to have dinner ready!

If you like some of the recipes then please pass them along to me. I have a feeling I would benifit from having dinners already prepared in the coming months.
