Dance Class.....???

My friend Lynette is concidering a homeschooling choir and just posted about whether or not she should do it...........I think she should!!!  It got me thinking......(thanks, Lynette!!)
Way back when we lived in North Ogden I decided to live a dream I had: Teach DANCE!   I got enough interest from the neighborhood girls to have two classes.  I held class all summer in my basement and at the end of the summer we had a little "recital" in my backyard so they could show their parents what they learned.  It was as wonderful as I hoped it would be.  Doing something you have dreamed about since you were little is always a good thing.
So, here I am, two kids, and about 6 years later and I am wondering if I should do it again, but this time have it be for homeschoolers.  I could have it in my much-bigger basement.....I just need some mirrors.  You gotta have mirrors as a dancer.  And loud music.
Am I pro?  Nope.  Can I do the splits?  Nope.  Should you send your kids to me if you want them to be professional dancers. Most certainly NOT!  But, I love to dance.  I love to teach kids things that I love.  I have danced all my life, although recently it has been just in my livingroom.

So, I will have to ponder this. Decisions like this are not ones to make quickly.  Any thoughts out there you'd like to share on the matter???.......

In the meantime, I think I might just start looking at songs to choreograph dances to....

haha! You're welcome! Do it!!! :) :) If you'll try it out, I'll try my idea! hahaha :)

P.S. I took dance in my dance teacher's basement for 14 years. She had modest costumes and we had one formal recital at the end of each school year. I loved it! She was not into competitions, she couldn't do the splits either, :), but she loved tap dancing (she had another person teach jazz) and it showed! I've been debating and debating about putting either of my girls in dance, but I haven't been impressed with anything out there...I wish we lived closer!!
