My friend, Annie posted some stinkin' cute dresses she made for her stinkin' cute daughter and I was inspired to sew some thing for my girls. Annie has a eye for fabric and for putting them together in a way that is just awesome. I found these and thought of her. I am loving the green and orange together. Sasha and dug through the clearance table at Walmart and found these and the best part is that they were either .50 or $1.00 a yard!!!

Sasha fell in love with this fabric. Sorry it is so blurry. It reminds her of her McGuffy readers that she reads to me every day. They were written in 1879, originally, and have the neatest, old fashioned pictures in them.

Well, I made this yesterday afternoon and love it. It is the same pattern I used to make her Easter skirt, but I only put on one ruffle this time. I am working on a little shrug out of the green fabric that ties in the front. (If I don't post it, that means it didn't turn out and just nevermind......)

I am just loving the orange and green tied together with the ribbon. I love polka dots. I love sewing. For me, it is very theraputic to create something. When I have a lot on my mind and want to shift my thoughts somewhere else, I find myself wanting to
simply sew something.
