So long, farewell....

Eeeeee! We are leaving on Saturday morning for the Big "D". That is what Will and I called it before we told the kids we were going to Disneyland!!!! We are so tricky, aren't we?! I can't believe we are actually going. We don't do vacations every year, and we don't go on mini-vacations much at all, either. We tend to not do much of anything entertainment wise, actually. That is mostly my fault. I kinda don't like to spend money on things you can't eat when you are starving. But, Will worked as an employee last year and that means we actually got a tax refund this year. It will be the last one for awhile, ok probably the last one ever since he is back doing his own thing. So, what did we do with our lovely tax refund? Bought the rest of our one year long term food storage, plus a fews boxes of masks, and gloves for good measure, then spent the rest on a trip to the Big D.

We are staying with friends in Vegas. Carrie and Dan, here we come!

I got a $55 room per night, through priceline in Anaheim.

(That does not include breakfast.....or a fridge....or a microwave. We are bringing our griddle and will be making pancakes each moring, thank you very much.)

I bought enough junk food to make us S-I-C-K!

I bought 6 day hopper passes online and found someone to split the cost with us. That saved us a bundle.

I packed the kids' brightest shirts so I can spot them easily. I am glad Will is so tall. He is easy to find in a crowd.

I actually bought a fanny pack. I didn't know they still made them! The last one I had was bright orange. Yikes. Very 80's!!

We plan on getting red box DVD's on the way, and just returning them as we go. Anyone done this? It seems genius. We'll see.

I can smell the beach already.

I can hear the kids squealing as we open our hotel room door for the first time.

I can see their sweet faces as we walk through the gates of Disneyland!

I can't wait to go.

I am so glad I have a husband that wants to make memories with our kids.

Off we go.
