Birds, birds, birds

Making water color pictures of birds. I found a series of books I want really bad. But, I found them online and each set it nearly $200 and there are like 12 sets. So, guess I'll just check them out at the library for now...... :)

Our works of art. Mine is the top and Sasha's are the other two. We are such great artists, aren't we!

Making bird feeders. Pine cones, smeared with peanut butter and rolled in bird seed.

We hung them out in our trees outside and are patiently waiting for some birdies to come nibble....

How fun! Our yard is full of bird feeders and we get tons of birds. Keep some fresh water out for them and it will help attract the birds to your yard. Most birds will come to your yard for the water and then stick around for the food. We have a tracking card to track what birds we have in our yard. We have names for a few of the regulars. Also put out some peanuts still in the shell (unsalted) and watch the western scrub jays come for them. They are a blue bird. Also shelled unsalted peanuts will also attract some really pretty birds like the red breasted nuthatcher, dark eyed juncos, and black capped chickadees. Okay I am stopping now but if you want ways to attract birds to your yard let me know.
